Elder Cat Grooming
Geriatric cats deserve special attention. We frequently see geriatric kitties that have never been professionally groomed in their entire lives. Up until now, they’ve always been able to take care of themselves, independent and proud, and now just aren’t able. Their owners often feel helpless, not knowing what to do for their matted old friend who is obviously uncomfortable and smells very bad.
Oh, and "they've never really liked being brushed...or being picked up too much...or the veterinarian's office...or men."
We understand that their hips are a little stiff now, they've got some arthritis in their spine, their eyes are getting cloudy. We know. We can help. We have many elder feline clients and can probably help yours too.

Geriatric cats are often matted and need those mats carefully clipped away from the skin. Older skin is very thin and fragile and requires extra care and experience while removing mats.
Perhaps your old friend has soiled themselves and needs some gentle help getting cleaned up again.
Sanitary trims can help with personal hygiene and help your cat to stay cleaner "down there". If your cat seems like they will tolerate a bath (we’ll ask them first), we can refresh their skin and coat and put some spring back in their step.
Customers have called us after grooming their old kitty and literally asked what we did to their cat, because "Blossom" is prancing around the house and feeling so frisky. Honest!
So stop worrying and give us a call! Yes, we know they're grouchy. That's OK. We're pretty sure we can help while keeping them safe and comfortable.
