Cats Can Get Haircuts?!?

Dogs have been trimmed and styled for centuries, yet the thought of trimming a cat is still shocking to some people.  Though some cats are “shaved” due to matting, cats can be attractively trimmed and styled for a number of reasons.

Many owners of long haired cats like to have them trimmed to prevent matting or to make them more comfortable in the heat of summer.   Trimming reduces shedding in the home and many owners just love the style of their cat's new hairdo!

Many styling options are available.   We can do a discrete tummy trim, a practical “sanitary trim”, a sleek “Applehead”, a stylish “Lion Trim”, or a utilitarian "You're in the Army Now".

For the best results, you should have us bathe your cat before trimming.   Clipper blades work best on light, clean hair, producing the smoothest even trim.  You wouldn't go to your hairdresser after not washing your hair for a year and expect them to give you a great new "do" without a shampoo, would you?

Yes, for some cats bathing isn’t a good option.  The time and patience spent getting a trim is all they have to offer.  We can still give a nice attractive trim without a bath.  Yep, we're that good!
