More About Cat Grooming

Presenting Grand Champion Noblessa's Helios of

Our Special Care for Your Cat
Cats are special and they require special treatment
and care. We understand that. We'll never treat your cat
like a dog and we'll never start a "Kung Foo" fight with your
beloved kitty.
We'll never put a groomer's loop around your cat's
neck and risk it strangling. We'll never use cold or lukewarm
water on your cat...we know cats hate getting cold! We'll
never spray water in your cat's face, make them shiver on a counter
waiting to be dried or blow a drier in their face. We know how
easy it is to overstress a cat and we will never mistreat or rush
through a job at your kitty's expense.
Your pet's safety and comfort is our primary
concern. We watch for signs of stress and take a "time out" if
needed. And, we don't take it personally when your cat calls
us bad names...we're always friends in the end!
Most of all, we'll never expose your cat to the
noise and stress of a dog grooming shop. Your cat will receive
quiet and loving one-on-one attention in our private mobile salon
from people who love and understand cats. Plus, we condition
our salon with Feliway® calming spray, to help give your cat a
secure sense of comfort and wellbeing.

Cat Bathing and Trimming Techniques
Cat bathing is more demanding than bathing a dog.
Cat fur is much denser than a dog's and much more difficult to get
clean. Use a typical dog washing style on a cat and it won't
even feel like it has had a bath!
We have years of show ring experience bathing and
grooming cats. We know how to properly and safely wash your
cat so he/she is squeaky clean, shiny and soft. And we'll do
it with the least amount of stress on your companion!
Cat trimming is different too! Cat skin is
thin, loose and very easily cut or even torn, so we take special
care when trimming. Cat skin is much more sensitive than a
dog's. We will never use dog techniques to de-mat your cat.
We have special trims and techniques for your kitty to make them
look and feel their very best while avoiding pain and injury.
The Complete Bath
We'll start by cleaning inside your cat's ears with
an animal-approved ear cleaning solution. We'll trim their
nails and completely comb and/or brush out their coat prior to their
bath. We'll relieve their anal glands and follow with a
thorough warm water bath.
We shampoo and rinse twice, using only cat-safe
products, to ensure your kitty is really clean. You'll have a
choice of a wide variety of quality shampoos including deep
cleaning, hypoallergenic (with colloidal oatmeal and aloe),
medicated and more! We'll rinse them completely removing all
shampoo residue. Then we'll apply an appropriate coat
conditioner and carefully hand dry them. We'll end with a finishing
brush out.
Trimming and Styling
Cats can be attractively trimmed and styled for a
number of reasons. Many owners of long haired cats like to
have them trimmed to prevent matting and help the cat stay cleaner
longer. Trims can also help your cat be more comfortable in
the heat of summer.
We can do a discrete tummy trim, a sleek all-over, a
stylish lion cut, or a utilitarian "you're in the army now".
